1. We believe in the Holy Scriptures: Accepting fully the verbal (very words), plenary (total and complete) inspiration of the writings of the Old and New Testaments. (2 Tim 3: 16-17; 2 Pete 1: 19-20)
2. We believe that there is One God Who is expressed in Three Persons (The Trinity). God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Gen 1:1, 26; John 10: 30; Acts 5: 3-4; 2 Cor. 13:14)
3. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ - Who is the second person of the Trinity, the Eternal Word and only Begotten Son. He is God and took on human flesh in order to redeem men and women who place their faith in Him - believing Him to be the Son of God. (Matt 1:20; Luke 2: 26-28; John 1: 1-2; 1 John 2:2, 5:20; 2 Pete 3: 9; 1 Tim 2: 4-6, 4:10)
4. We believe in the Holy Spirit - Who is the third person of the Trinity. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and the judgment to come as well as regenerates, indwells and seals all who come to God through faith in Jesus Christ. (Luke 11: 13; John 14: 16-17; Romans 8: 14-27; 2 Cor 13:14)
5. We believe that all men are by nature and choice sinful and lost. Man is also the image bearer of God and created by God. (Gen. 1: 26-28; Rom 3: 19, 23, 5: 12; Gal. 3: 22)
6. We believe in salvation by grace through faith. Salvation is the free gift of God - neither merited or secured in part of whole by any virtue or work of man. It is only received by faith in Jesus Christ believing Him to be the Son of God. Part from faith in Jesus Christ - there is no salvation for mankind. (Acts 4: 12; Rom 3:23, 10:9-10, 13; 2 Cor 5: 21, 7:9-10; Eph. 2: 8-9)
7. We believe in repentance and faith as inseparable duties and graces in the life of the believer. They are the result of the Holy Spirit’s work in the believer’s life. (John 16: 8; Acts 3: 19, 4: 12, 20:21; Eph. 3: 5-6)
8. We believe in righteous living and godly works not as a means of salvation, but as proper evidence and fruit of the Holy Spirit’s residence in the believer. (Matt 28: 19-20; Eph. 2: 10; Titus 2: 11-14)
9. We believe in the existence of Satan. He is a real being and enemy of the church of God. (Isaiah 14: 12-15; Ezekiel 28: 12-19; Eph. 6: 12; 1 Pete 5: 8; Rev. 12:9, 20:10)
10. We believe in the Genesis account of creation as a literal six day event and that man is the result of direct creation by God. (Gen. 1-2; Ex. 20:11; John 1: 3; Col. 1: 16-17)
11. We believe in the second coming (pretribulation and premillenial physical return) of Jesus Christ to the earth to rule and reign as King. (John 14:1-6; Acts 1: 11; 1 Cor 15: 51-58; 1 Thess. 4: 13-17; Rev. 19: 11-16; 20:6)
12. We believe in future life, bodily resurrection, and eternal judgment for all (some to eternal life with Christ and some to eternal life in hell). (Luke 16: 19-31; John 14: 1-6; 2 Cor 5: 10; Phil. 3: 20-21; 1 Thess 4: 14-17; Rev. 20: 11-15)
13. We believe in the separation of church and state with each having definate and distinct spheres of responsibility. We affirm our belief that civil governments have no jurisdiction in spiritual concerns, and have no right of dictation to, or control over, or interference with, matters of religion. (2 Sam. 23:3; Ezra 6:7; Dan. 3: 17-18; Matt. 22: 21; Acts 5: 29; Rom. 13: 1-7)
14. We believe in the priesthood of all believers - that Jesus Christ is our Great High Priest and that every born again believer has personal access to God through Him. (Heb. 8-9; 1 Pete 2: 5-9)
15. We believe that Jesus Christ, alone, is the head of the church, the Body of Christ, of which all believers are members. (Matt. 23:10; 1 Cor. 11: 3)
16. We believe in the importance of the local church - which is comprised of born again and baptized believers. (Acts 2: 41, 4: 32; Matt. 26:26-30; 28: 19-20)
17. We believe in the independence and autonomy of the local church. Each church is free to govern itself without ecclesiastical interference. (Acts 6: 1-6; Gal. 1: 1-2)
18. We believe in the ordinances given to the local church are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion). Baptism is by immersion and practiced by those who have affirmed their faith in Jesus Christ and want to follow Him in obedience. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the shed blood and broken body of Jesus Christ and is open to all who affirm their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. (Matt. 3: 13-17, 26: 26-30, 28: 19-20; Acts 2: 41; 1 Cor. 11:23-32)
19. We believe in the great commission as given in Scripture and authorized by Jesus Christ Himself. (Matt. 9: 36-38, 28: 19-20; John 3: 16; Acts 1: 8; Eph. 4: 12-16)
